A bill passed by the California Legislature sits on Governor Jerry Brown’s desk awaiting his signature. It’s called the Humane Treatment for Farm Workers Act (AB 2676). The California Senate Friday approved $4.7 billion in funds for the state’s high-speed-rail plan despite growing opposition to the project, handing a victory to California Gov.
